Luís Ribeiro Carvalhosa Cristino da Silva (1896-1976), foi um arquiteto português, nascido em Lisboa. Era filho do pintor naturalista João Ribeiro Cristino da Silva (1858-1948) do Grupo do Leão, e neto do pintor romântico João Cristino da Silva (1820-1877). Diplomado pela Escola de Belas Artes de Lisboa em 1919, estudou em Paris entre 1920 e 1925, com bolsa de estudo. Fixou-se depois em Lisboa, projetando alguns dos edifícios marcantes das décadas seguintes, tendo sido um dos pioneiros do movimento moderno na arquitetura portuguesa. Entre muitas obras, projectou o Cineteatro Capitólio (1929-1936); o Pavilhão de Honra da Exposição do Mundo Português (1940); foi autor do emblemático conjunto urbano da Praça do Areeiro, Lisboa (1941-1960). A partir de 1948 foi arquiteto-chefe do projecto da Cidade Universitária de Coimbra. Foi professor de Arquitetura na Escola Superior de Belas-Artes de Lisboa desde 1933.

Luís Ribeiro Carvalho Cristino da Silva (1896-1976), was a Portuguese architect, born in Lisbon. He was the son of the naturalist painter João Ribeiro Cristino da Silva (1858-1948), and grandson of the Romantic painter João Cristino da Silva (1820-1877). Graduated from the school of fine arts of Lisbon in 1919, he studied in Paris between 1920 and 1925, with scholarship. He settled then in Lisbon, designing some of the landmark buildings of the next decades, having been one of the pioneers of the Portuguese modern movement in architecture. Among many works, he designed the Capitol theater (1929-1936); the building of Honour of the exhibition of the Portuguese World (1940); he was the author of urban set of Praça do Areeiro, Lisbon (1941-1960). From 1948 he was Chief Architect of the project of the university town of Coimbra. He was professor of architecture at the Escola Superior de Belas Artes de Lisboa since 1933.
